Jasprit Bumrah has been out of cricket since September 2022 | GettyIn some good news for the Indian cricket team fans, ace fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been declared fit to resume playing international cricket by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the BCCI confirmed that he was added to the squad for Sri Lanka ODIs which begin January 10 onwards.

The fast bowler has been out of action since September last year because of a stress reaction in his back, and he's been rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru since then. He missed the Asia Cup 2022 and the T20 World Cup 2022 due to his injury.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.   Bumrah was out of cricketing action since September 2022 and was also ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a back injury. The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon,” the BCCI statement read.

India plays three ODIs against Sri Lanka on January 10, 12, and 15, after the three-T20I series that begins on January 3.

Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (VC), Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh.
