Dimuth Karunaratne fell for 107 runs in Bengaluru Test | BCCISri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne slammed his 14th Test century on day three of the second and final match against India in Bengaluru, which was a day-night affair. Sri Lanka was set 447 runs to win the match and their skipper played a lone hand.

The visitors resumed their innings on 28/1 but while Karunaratne dropped anchor at one end, they kept losing wickets at the other. Kusal Mendis played an important hand of 54, adding 97 runs for the second wicket, before being stumped by Rishabh Pant off R Ashwin.

Then the three Indian spinners laid waste to Sri Lankan innings, as Jadeja bowled Angelo Mathews for 1, Dhananjaya de Silva was out caught at short leg off Ashwin for 4 runs and Niroshan Dickwella made 12, before Pant stumped him off, Akshar Patel.

In the end, the resistance was ended as Sri Lanka were all out for 208 and India won the second Test by 208 runs. India also won the two-Test series 2-0, keeping their winning run against Sri Lanka in Tests at home, intact.

Jasprit Bumrah picked 3 wickets in the second innings and ended the match with figures of 8/47. R Ashwin picked 4/55, Akshar Patel took 2/37 and Jadeja picked one wicket.
