Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Sunday (6th March) received a huge round of applause from his teammates and hotel staff after his heroics in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
In what was Virat Kohli’s 100th Test, Jadeja stole the limelight as he powered India to an innings and 222 runs victory to take a 1-0 lead against Sri Lanka.
The all-rounder put on a staggering display with both bat and ball to help the hosts dominate and win the first match within three days. The southpaw scored an unbeaten 175 runs knock to help the team put a total of 574 runs on the board. If this was not enough, he then troubled Sri Lanka batters in both the innings and clinched 9 wickets in the match.
