.With a thrilling win at Chepauk, India recorded their 4th consecutive win in the series after the first Test ended in a draw. A special all-round performance from Ravindra Jadeja on final day gave India yet another innings win in the series. Jadeja, who scored a fifty with bat, took 10 wickets in the game and 4 important catches as well. Thus he became the first player in Test history to take 10 wickets and 4 catches in a Test along with scoring a fifty.
This was only the 2nd Test series for India where they
registered 4 wins. The other one been the home series in 2013 against
Australia, where India won the 4 match series by 4-0 margin.
With 4 wins against England in this series, Virat Kohli became
the first India captain to taste 4 wins in Tests against England. Mohammad
Azharuddin, MS Dhoni and Ajit Wadekar had 3 Test wins as captain against England.
Kohli's record as captain has been exemplary with 14 wins in
the 22 Tests he has led India so far. This win put him in elite list of
captains who have more than 14 wins in their first 22 Tests as the team's
