IND v SA 2022: “He batted beautifully and I loved it," Suryakumar Yadav hails David Miller for his blazing ton in 2nd T20I

Miller slammed 106 not out off 47 balls in South Africa's 16-run defeat in Guwahati T20I.

David Miller put on a show with the bat | BCCIIndia's star batter Suryakumar Yadav heaped praise on South African swashbuckler David Miller for his whirlwind century in the second T20I in Guwahati on Sunday (October 2).

Chasing 238 to win, the Proteas were struggling at 47/3 after 6.2 overs and it seemed that they will struggle to get near the target.

However, Miller produced one of the best counter attacks in the shortest format to leave everyone in awe. The southpaw wreaked havoc on the Indian bowlers and notched up his second T20I century in just 46 balls.

Miller eventually returned with 106 not out off 47 balls but his valiant knock went in vain as South Africa fell 16 runs short of the target.

"He (Miller) batted beautifully and I loved it," said Suryakumar after the game.

Suryakumar Yadav starred with the bat for India, scoring 61 off 22 balls with 5 fours and as many sixes, helping the hosts pile up a massive 237/3 in 20 overs.

Talking about his preparations before the game, Yadav said: "You just have to be planning really well when you are having the practice sessions about second-guessing the bowlers. When you are batting first, you can't set a target and you just gotta bat as deep as possible and get as many runs as possible."

"We were batting first, so it was very clear that I had to keep the tempo that was set by Rahul and Rohit and I just went and enjoyed myself," he further stated.

With this victory, Team India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. The third and final T20I will be played in Indore on Tuesday (October 4).
