The Indian cricket team was forced to practice in indoor nets in Mumbai on the eve of the second Test match against New Zealand which is scheduled to start on December 3rd at the Wankhede Stadium.
The two-Test series stands at 0-0 after New Zealand escaped with a draw with one wicket in hand in the first Test in Kanpur’s Green Park. All eyes are now on the second encounter, but rains in Mumbai have put a dampener on preparations of both sides.
BCCI on their official Twitter account, shared photos from the indoor nets session of the Indian team which saw Virat Kohli, who’ll return to captain the side in the second Test, getting into his groove.

Apart from this, head coach Rahul Dravid was seen giving some tips to Cheteshwar Pujara, who will be under pressure to perform or perish as the team’s next red-ball series will be in and against South Africa and the squad is to be declared shortly.
Also seen in the pic in a jovial mood was vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, whose place in the squad for South Africa also depends on how he fares in the Mumbai Test against New Zealand.
KS Bharat was seen in conversation with Wriddhiman Saha, who has been declared fit for the second Test after suffering from a stiff neck in Kanpur, where Bharat kept wickets impressively.
