India all-rounder Akshar Patel expressed his satisfaction with his bowling performance in the fifth and final T20I against Australia, highlighting the absence of the dew factor at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Akshar contributed with both the bat and ball in Team India’s 6-run win over Australia in the final T20I to clinch the home series with a 4-1 margin on Sunday (December 3) in Bengaluru.
Akshar first played a quick cameo of 31 off 21 balls and then returned with an impressive spell of 4-0-14-1 in Bengaluru to win his second Player of the Match award in a row.
Akshar Patel told Murali Karthik in the post-match presentation: “Thank you, thank you! It was fun bowling out today, as there was no dew factor coming into play. There was full dew in the first four matches, but tonight, as soon as the first ball spun, I knew that it was my wicket and had a laugh inside myself.”
