Former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra came iin support of pacer Prasidh Krishna, saying the young pacer should not be judged harshly after just a couple of poor games against Australia.

Nehra pointed out that Krishna hasn't had many opportunities in the lead-up to the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia after he leaked 68 runs in his 4-over quota during Team India’s five-wicket defeat in the third match in Guwahati.

Krishna has so far proved costly for Team India, as he recorded bowling figures of 1/50, 3/41, and 0/68 in the first three games of the ongoing T20I series against Australia at home.

However, the Gujarat Titans (GT) head coach said that Krishna is a talented bowler and hopes that he will only improve from here, given that he already has the most expensive spell in T20Is by an Indian bowler.

Ashish Nehra told Sports 18: “There is no shortage of talent when you talk about somebody like Prasidh Krishna. He is definitely one of the future stars of Indian cricket. Here, you are talking about the T20 format, it's only three games and he had not played a lot of cricket in the lead-up to the T20I tournament. I hope he will only get better from here.”

Nehra signed off by saying, “Sometimes, every team plans and strategises things. But you can't do everything in advance. I think both teams decided today that they won't be bowling yorkers.”

Notably, India will next face Australia in the fourth T20I on December 1 in Raipur.
