Team India’s stand-in captain, Suryakumar Yadav, was really impressed with his players’ efforts, as the hosts have taken a 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia at home.

After winning the opening game by two wickets, the young Indian cricket team made an even stronger comeback in the second T20I against Australia in Thiruvananthapuram.

On Sunday, November 26, after being asked to bat first, India posted 235/4 on the board, thanks to brilliant fifties from Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal in Thiruvananthapuram.

Later, the Men in Blue successfully defended the total on the back of Ravi Bishnoi (3/32) and Prasidh Krishna’s (3/42) stunning bowling efforts to take a 2-0 lead in the T20I series against Australia.

Well, it was Rinku Singh’s blazing knock that has been ruling the headlines after the second T20I on Sunday, and Suryakumar Yadav was just in awe of his skills. Rinku played a blistering knock of unbeaten 31 runs off just nine balls, laced with four fours and two sixes, to stun the cricket world.

Suryakumar Yadav compared Rinku Singh with the legendary MS Dhoni. However, he didn’t mention Dhoni’s names, but his hint was clear enough to guess the name.

Suryakumar Yadav said after the match:When I saw Rinku come in to bat in the last game, the composure he showed was brilliant. It reminded me of someone.”

On being asked who Rinku reminded him of, he said while laughing: “Everyone knows the answer.”

Meanwhile, Suryakumar said that they already planned to bat first in Thiruvananthapuram. He said, “I told them before, to be prepared to bat first. There was a lot of dew.

The stand-in skipper also mentioned that his players “are not putting too much pressure on him” as they are doing thier job very well in the series.
