Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been in the news not only for his batting in the recent first ODI between India and Afghanistan that was played in Dharamshala on June 13, 2026, but also for his philanthropic ways.
Gurbaz was the star for Afghanistan, as he stroked 102 runs in 51 balls with 8 sixes and 8 fours, as he powered his team to 194 runs in the rain-shortened 25-over-per-side game. However, his knock went to waste as India chased down the total with 7 wickets in hand and captain Shubman Gill making 84*.
Meanwhile, in a video shared by Rahmanullah Gurbaz on Instagram, he can be seen conversing with a vendor with disability. The vendor with the inability to use his legs was selling items like incense sticks, keychains, and stickers.
Gurbaz conversed with the vendor, asking about how much he earns in a day and his profit, etc., apart from other things.
“Every time I meet or see a person with a disability, I feel inspired. Their strength, determination, and ability to overcome daily challenges remind me that true courage is not about having an easy path—it’s about moving forward despite obstacles. They don’t ask for sympathy; they earn respect through their resilience and spirit. Thank you for teaching us valuable lessons about perseverance, gratitude, and the power of a positive mindset,” Gurbaz captioned his post.
