This is a match which will have no consequences on the race for final four as both GL and DD are out of the race. The only thing both teams will be playing for is the bragging rights and for their pride. Let's have a look at what this match will bring for us.
Gujarat Lions
Last year's table topper Gujarat Lions were felled by some poor
buys in the player's auctions and unavailability of their star all-rounder
Dwayne Bravo, which made the balance of their side go awry. The absence of any
real good spinner also pegged them back and in the end, they couldn't qualify
for the top four despite the efforts from their captain Suresh Raina and keeper
Dinesh Karthik.

They will now face DD at home, in what is seen as a game of
pride for GL in front of home crowd. The GL team won't return next season and
it will be a good way to thank the crowd of Rajkot for their support in the two
years of IPL.
Delhi Daredevils

DD had their chance of qualifying for the top four and they blew it. The performance of DD in last 2-3 years have been mind boggling and this year, the pattern continued. They had some really big wins over some good teams, but it was cancelled out by poor performances in key matches.

Sanju Samson provided them with good starts, while Rishabh
Pant looked good, when he got going, but he failed to come to the party in big
ticket games and that hampered DD's chances. Their bowling was their asset and
they did their job. Now they will also play for pride and will hope to end the
IPL 2017 on a high.
