After getting an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match T20 series against Australia Women A team, India Women A was looking for a definitive end to the series and they achieved it in style.

India A batted first after winning the toss and with Harmanpreet Kaur (41 in 27 balls, 4 fours, and 2 sixes) and Jemimah Rodrigues 38 in 29 balls, put up 154/8 on the board in 20 overs. Deepti Sharma (18*) provided last over impetus to the innings.

For Australia A, skipper Molly Strano (2/25) and skipper Maitlan Brown (2/21) were the picks of the bowlers.

Australia A’s chase could only see four batswomen get into double figures and only Naomi Stalenberg (26) and Heather Graham (20) got to and past the score of 20 as Poonam Yadav (3/23), and Anuja Patil and Pooja Vastrakar with two wickets each ran through the Aussie batting like a warm knife through soft butter.

India A won the match by 37 runs and pocketed the series 3-0.
