Kolkata Knight Riders lost their opening game pretty badly as they were completely outplayed by the Mumbai Indians at the same venue. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost a game in which they looked in control until there was a huge collapse in the last five overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders struggled with both bat and ball in their first game as they were completely outplayed by their opponents Mumbai Indians. Their big-money player Pat Cummins didn’t have a great day as he gave away 49 runs in his three overs.
KKR’s middle-order which was supposed to be the best in the tournament failed to make an impact as the overseas stars Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell got out cheaply. Many people were surprised by the exclusion of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and they might play him in place of Sandeep Warrier.
Shubman Gill who opened the innings in the first match needs to give them a good start which would help the middle-order. He along with their skipper Dinesh Karthik would be key players in this game.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
The new coach of SRH – Trevor Bayliss won’t be that happy with the way their batsmen played in the last match. SRH needed 43 off 30 balls with eight wickets in hand and they lost the game by ten runs. Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey who had a good partnership got out at the wrong moment and then the middle-order failed to chase down the total.
Among the bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a great day whereas Rashid Khan wasn’t at his best. Mitchell Marsh who got injured while bowling his first over has been ruled out of the IPL and Jason Holder will replace him in the squad. But SRH might look to get in the experienced Mohammad Nabi in the XI. David Warner was unlucky in the first game and he will look to score big in this one and he will be the one to watch out for.
