Match 28, Jamaica Tallawahs v Barbados Tridents – Fantasy Cricket Tips, Playing XIs, Weather and Pitch

Fantasy Tips for the 28th Match of CPL 2020.

Jamaica Tallawahs will be up against Barbados Tridents

Jamaica Tallawahs who have qualified for the semis and Barbados Tridents who are out of the competition will be up against each other at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad. The Tridents who will be playing their last game of this season have won only two games out of their nine.

On the other hand, the Tallawahs have won three out of their eight games and got one point against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as the match was abandoned due to rain. Tallawahs have a chance to finish third if they win their next two games and St Lucia Zouks lose their remaining two. But the position in the points table wouldn’t matter as there isn’t an IPL like playoff system.

Pitch and Weather Report

There is a high chance of rain in the day game but hopefully, it might go away till the start of this game. If there is no rain then the weather will be sunny.

The pitch changes drastically in the second game of the day and hence looking at that trend, the batsmen will find it difficult as it would be a low-scoring game. A score around 140-150 would be a good one to defend.

Team News

Jamaica Tallawahs

Jamaica Tallawahs haven’t been at their best but still, they have qualified for the semis. Their young spinners – Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Sandeep Lamichanne have been in great form throughout the tournament. Talking about their batting, Glenn Phillips has been in good touch.

Andre Russell and Asif Ali have been on and off with their batting performances, but the good thing is that Russell is fit and ready to play. Carlos Braithwaite who is a senior all-rounder needs to put in better performances if they want to win in the semis.

Barbados Tridents

Barbados Tridents have tried everything with their batting but unfortunately, nothing has worked out from them. Their batting has failed to deliver and that’s the reason why they haven’t qualified for the semis this season.

In the last three games, they have failed to make 100 runs which are just unacceptable as a batting unit. In the last game, they sent Rashid Khan at No.3 and he was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Their bowling is a decent job but if your batsmen can’t score 100 runs then you are not going to win any game.

The Tridents will look to finish on a high as they will be playing their last league game.
