Match 22, Guyana Amazon Warriors v Barbados Tridents – Fantasy Cricket Tips, Playing XIs, Weather and Pitch

Fantasy Tips for the 22nd Match of CPL 2020.

Barbados Tridents need to win against Guyana Amazon Warriors

Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Tridents will be playing their eighth game each when they take on each other at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The Amazon Warriors are coming from a fantastic win whereas the Tridents have lost a game which they should have won any day.

The Amazon Warriors are currently third in the points table with 6 points from 7 games and have a good chance of making it to the semis. On the other hand, the Tridents are struggling with just 4 points from the 7 games. They need to win almost every game from here on if they want to make the semis.

Amazon Warriors have some young explosive batsmen and the Tridents have some great spinners so it will be a great contest between them when they come up against each other.

Pitch and Weather Report

There is a high chance of rain in the afternoon but the weather might clear up till evening. If it does stop raining then we can have a proper 20-over game or else we might have a shortened match.

This is the second leg of the tournament at this venue and the pitch at this venue looked better than the one at Queen’s Park. Anything around 160-170 could be a decent score at this venue.

Team News

Guyana Amazon Warriors

Nicholas Pooran became the first batsmen to score a century in this year’s CPL as he scored 100 off just 45 balls with 10 sixes to his name. His fabulous innings helped the Amazon Warriors chase 153 in just 17.3 overs.

It would be great for the Amazon Warriors if Shimron Hetmyer as well comes back to form because he is equally important for them. Chris Green and Imran Tahir are doing a great job with the ball and they will continue to do so. The opening partnership has been a concern and they will be hoping that they can sort it out pretty soon.

Barbados Tridents

At the moment it seems as if the Barbados Tridents just don’t want to win a game. You are not supposed to lose a game if you are chasing 93! The bowlers did all the hard work as they dismissed the opposition for 92 in 18 overs and the batsmen couldn’t chase down this total.

They need to start winning matches if they want to qualify for the semis. Their batsmen need to step up and start performing before the time runs out for them.

Fantasy Prediction
