Team News

Jamaica Tallawahs

Jamaica Tallawahs won their last game even with the absence of Andre Russell which is a good sign for them. But Russell has missed two matches in a row and his fitness would be a concern for them. Glenn Philips, their wicket-keeper batsman played a fantastic inning as he scored 79 off just 61 balls.

Their young spinners – Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman and Sandeep Lamichanne did their job to perfection and importantly Carlos Braithwaite chipped in with three wickets in the last game.

Glenn Philips and Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman are the players to watch out for.

Trinbago Knight Riders

Trinbago Knight Riders are winning matches they should not win. In their last game, they needed 66 runs off the last four overs with just four wickets in hand and Kieron Pollard started smashing sixes – left, right and center. He was unstoppable as he scored 72 off just 28 balls with 9 sixes to his name.

The incredible knock from the skipper helped them make it six out six which also that they qualified for the semis. They would try and remain in the first position so they will be able to play the fourth side in the semis. The Knight Riders might experiment with a few players before the semis.
