In the upcoming third ODI against England at Lord's, former opener Abhinav Mukund believes that Team India may use both Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul in the starting lineup. Shivam Dube can be dropped because he isn't making much of an impact with the bat, he continued.

On Sunday, July 19, India will play England in the third and last ODI of the three-match series at Lord's Cricket Ground. India won the first game in Birmingham by six wickets, while England won the match in Cardiff by four wickets, leaving the series tied at one-all.

Rahul was unavailable for the second ODI due to illness, and hence Ishan Kishan got the chance to play. Mukund opined that Kishan can retain his place in the playing XI for the Lord's clash even if Rahul is fit and available.

"You've got to decide then what happens with Shivam Dube. Are you primarily picking him as a bowler or a batter? If he is not giving you runs with the bat, then you can afford to play both KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. For Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav does come in. You play with seven batters, with Axar Patel batting at No. 7, and then Kuldeep comes in and gives you five proper bowling options,” Mukund said on Cricinfo.

Additionally, Mukund expressed his excitement about the potential of young pacer Gurnoor Brar. Mukund praised the right-arm fast bowler and said he might be a contender for the 2027 World Cup.

"I would love to see more of Gurnoor Brar. He has been a terrific find for India starting from the Afghanistan series. He shows a lot of heart and bowls fast—145. He is a candidate for the 2027 World Cup. In the absence of Harshit Rana, Gurnoor Brar has stepped into his shoes very well. I'd love to see him pick up more wickets,” he said.

Brar has had a good start to his ODI career, taking 11 wickets with a best of 3/27.
