After missing the first match due to a groin injury against England at the Oval, India batter Virat Kohli made his comeback in the second ODI at Lord’s.

With him being out of form, many felt that ODI will be the best format for him to find his mojo back. It’s fair to say that the stage was set for him and 9 out 10 times he would’ve cashed this opportunity but his dry spell with the bat extended.

After India bundled out England for just 246 runs, they were jolted early and lost skipper Rohit Sharma for a 10-ball duck, many expected Kohli to take the charge and drive his team home.

He did look good at the start as he smashed three wonderful boundaries to raise the excitement but it turned out to be in what has been his story of late as after getting a start, he perishes.

Kohli scored 16 runs in 25 balls before he chased a good length delivery wide of off from David Willey and only managed an edge to see his side in trouble.

As Kohli hit boundaries early in his innings, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took to his official Twitter account and made a prediction. He said that it looks like the right-hander’s day and he will return to form.

“Today looks like Kohli's day,” Virender Sehwag Tweeted

However, as Kohli got out, Sehwag was quick to make the correction and in another tweet, he mentioned that it wasn’t the former Indian skipper’s day.

Coming to the match, after India lost Kohli for 16, they lost wickets in quick succession and were reduced to 140/8 with all the frontline batters back in the hut. Reece Topley returned with his career-best figures of 6/24 as England completed a 100-run win to level the series 1-1.
