The million-dollar question about Virat Kohli’s fitness and availability for the second ODI between England and India to be played at the Lord’s on July 14, 2022, has been seemingly answered by the BCCI itself.

Kohli, who played in the last two T20Is of the England series, scoring just 12 runs in all, missed the first ODI match due to a groin strain. The Men in Blue defeated England in a brutal manner by bowling them out for 110 runs with Jasprit Bumrah taking 6/19 and then chasing down the total inside 19 overs with all 10 wickets in hand and captain Rohit Sharma scoring 76*.

Meanwhile, there were speculations about whether Virat Kohli will play in the second ODI against England or not, given his form and the niggle he had sustained.

However, these rumors were put to rest when the BCCI shared a couple of photos of Virat Kohli practicing in the nets ahead of the second encounter at the Lord’s.

“Virat Kohli warming up in the nets ahead of the 2nd ODI against England,” BCCI tweeted.

If India wins this match, they will pocket the series with a 2-0 lead.
