Former English cricketer Michael Vaughan feels that Team India should be one of the clear favourites to win the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Indian team has adopted a fearless approach in their ongoing white-ball tour to England. They have followed a template of going after the bowlers right from the start no matter what.
They followed the aggressive approach in the three-match T20I series and despite losing the wickets, they continued smashing bowlers all over the park. In the first game, they thumped England by 50 runs and then followed it with a 49-run win in the second game to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.

Even though they lost the third T20I, their fearless approach was quite evident as they fell short of just a few runs while chasing a mammoth target of over 200.
The Rohit Sharma-led side then continued their dominance in the ongoing ODI series as they humiliated the hosts by 10 wickets at The Oval. The visitors displayed a sensational bowling performance as they bundled out England for just 110 runs and then chased down the target inside 19 overs.
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Michael Vaughan said that Team India have found their mojo in white-ball cricket and have got the momentum, especially after that T20I series win.
“Conditions will be different in a year and a half’s time (for the ODI World Cup) but India have just got to get on a roll in white-ball cricket. They’ve just got the build that momentum, they’ve done that in the T20 series in the manner that they’ve played," Michael Vaughan said.
Vaughan further said that India showed aggression on the field and they blew England away, which a team needs to do when things are in their favour.

“We talk about aggression, they were aggressive with the ball today, and they were aggressive in the field. That’s what you’ve got to do when you’ve things going in your favour, you’ve got to blow teams away. England are an outstanding team, so that should give India a lot of confidence," he added.
Vaughan feels that India has all the capability to win all the upcoming ICC events.
“I’ve said before, this Indian one-day team for long haven’t gotten close to winning anything for a long period of time. They should be there or there about every single Champions Trophy, T20 World Cup, and ODI World Cup," he said.
Vaughan said that the Indian team, which has been built on the back of IPL, has the skills to win the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.
“This Indian group of white-ball experts that have been built on the back of IPL, should be pushing all the way in all conditions world. Not just at home next year. They should be able to arrive in Australia in a few months’ time as one of the clear favourites to win that tournament. They’ve certainly got enough skill," he said.
Team India will be next seen in action when they take on England in the second ODI at Lord's, London on Thursday (14th July).
