Former cricketers Nasser Hussain and Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday (12th July) hailed Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah as the best bowler across the formats after his superlative performance at The Oval.
Bumrah bowled one of the finest spells in the first ODI against England. The pacer wreaked havoc across the hosts' batting line-up and thanks to his fiery bowling, the Rohit Sharma-led side bundled out the opposition for just 110 runs.
Among all the 10 English wickets that fell in the first innings, 6 belonged to Bumrah. The pacer registered his career-best figures of 6/19 and helped his side bowl out England inside 26 overs.

Bumrah’s performance was lauded by everyone across the globe and his staggering bowling even made Hussain call him the best bowler across the formats.
“He’d have to be the best all-format bowler in world cricket,” Nasser Hussain said on air while commentating for Sky Sports.
Not only this, even batting great Tendulkar heaped rich praise on Bumrah. He called him the best all-format bowler and said that he was happy to hear Nasser agreeing with him on air.
“The Oval pitch has great bounce but Indian bowlers bowled the right lengths & that made all the difference. A great bowling performance by India’s pace attack especially Bumrah who was just phenomenal.
“I've been of the opinion for a while now that Bumrah is the best bowler across formats. It was good to hear @nassercricket agree with me on-air,” Sachin Tendulkar Tweeted.
