India won the T20I series 2-1, while England will feel the momentum will be on their side after they won the third T20I in Nottingham.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. While talking about the Indian playing XI, Rohit revealed that Virat Kohli will not be playing in this match, with Shreyas Iyer coming in for him at the no.3 batting spot.

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit, Shreyas, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant made up the five batters. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were picked as all-rounders, while Yuzvendra Chahal was the specialist spinner.

Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna were the pace attack of the Indian team for the first ODI.

BCCI revealed that Virat Kohli had suffered a groin strain and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh suffered a right abdominal strain and hence, were ruled out of contention for this match.

Meanwhile, the Twitterverse was all sad and disappointed not to see Virat Kohli in the Indian lineup as many felt the ODI was the perfect format for him to get back into form.
