While England and India are crossing swords with each other on the field, Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan have kept the battle interesting on Twitter. 

Their latest banter was witnessed on Monday (4th July). After India ended their second innings on 245 runs, setting England the target of 378 runs, Alex Lees (56) and Zack Crawley (46) stitched a formidable 107 runs opening partnership inside 20 overs. 

Cashing in on the solid opening partnership, Vaughan had asked Jaffer if he was feeling nervous as the hosts made a flying start to their run chase.

“Are you nervous yet,” Michael Vaughan Tweeted. 

After a 107-opening partnership, England lost three quick wickets and found themselves in a sort of trouble. But Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow joined hands together and took Indian bowlers to the cleaners to put them under pressure. 

At stumps on Day 4, England was just 119 runs away from the win whereas India needed 7 wickets to script the history. 

After the day’s play ended Jaffer reacted to Vaughan’s tweet hilariously. He posted a picture of the famous Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma’s character Jethalal.
