Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Sunday (3rd July) gave a befitting reply to a troll over his Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow tweet.
Kohli and Bairstow were engaged in verbal banter during Day 2 and Day 3 of the ongoing fifth Test between England and India at Edgbaston.
After Bairstow struggled initially in his innings, Kohli sledged the English batter using Tim Southee's name on Day 2. In the morning session of Day 3, the duo were seen engaging in a more serious chit-chat with the Indian batter doing a lot of finger-pointing towards the former.

However, sledging made Bairstow charge up as he took the Indian bowlers to cleaners and smashed another ton to bail his side out of trouble. The right-hander scored 106 runs in 140 balls and also smashed 14 fours and 2 sixes.
As Bairstow switched gears, Sehwag took to his Twitter account and compared his strike rate before and post sledging. He said that the English batter batted like Cheteshwar Pujara before the banter and then turned into Rishabh Pant.
“Strike Rate before Kohli's Sledging -: 21. Post Sledging - 150. Pujara ki tarah khel rahe thhey, Kohli ne Pant banwa diya bewajah sledge karke,” Sehwag had tweeted.
Replying to this, a Twitter user asked if Sehwag would have tweeted had Bairstow gotten out after being sledged by Kohli. To which, the former Indian cricketer said yes he would’ve.
“Haan yaar, karta,” Sehwag replied.
