Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan reacted hilariously after the pacer smashed 35 runs off Stuart’s Broad over in the first innings of the ongoing rescheduled Test against England at Edgbaston.

Bumrah, who is leading the side in the absence of Rohit Sharma, stole the limelight in his first outing as captain. However, what was surprising was that this time he made the headlines with his batting ability.

The Indian pace spearhead created the world record for scoring most runs in an over in Test as he smashed Broad for 35 runs in Edgbaston, helping his side cross the 400-run mark.

It was the 84th over of the Indian innings when Bumrah started off with three consecutive boundaries. He smashed him for 29 runs while six runs came in the form of extras, which made it 35 runs off the over. He remained unbeaten on 31 off 16 and helped his side post a mammoth first innings total of 416 runs.

After Bumrah entered the world record, ICC posted a video of 'The ICC Review' which was hosted by a TV presenter and Bumrah's wife Sanjana.

In the clip, former Sri Lanka cricketer Mahela Jayawardena asks the pacer’s wife if she has any role to play in Bumrah's bowling. Replying to which she says not the bowling but his batting is her main focus.

"Me? No, I just focus on his batting, that's where I excel. All the skills you see [with the bat], it's all me [chuckles],” Sanjana Ganesan said.

ICC shared the video on their Instagram account with the caption, "Guess where @jaspritb1 gets his batting tips from?"
