On Day 3 of the rescheduled fifth Test at Edgbaston between England and India, Jonny Bairstow and Virat Kohli got into an argument that seemed to have acted as fuel for the Yorkshire batter, who went on to smash an incredible century.

He eventually got dismissed by Shami after scoring 106 off 140 balls with 14 fours and 2 sixes, incidentally caught by Virat Kohli in slips.

However, a lot of people, especially cricket players, believed that Kohli had just slightly riled up the batter, which cost India a lot. 

With a score of 84/5, England was in bad shape before the day began. Stokes and Bairstow, however, launched an immediate assault against the opposition. Jimmy Neesham of New Zealand raised concerns about Kohli's antics towards the English star.

India pacer Shardul Thakur made up for dropping a catch of Ben Stokes by dismissing him, but Jonny Bairstow guided England to 200-6 at lunch with an unbeaten 91, resuming the onslaught on the opposing camp, and went on to score a century later.

Before India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah displayed a flash of brilliance on the field and caught Stokes with a diving screamer off Thakur's bowling, he and Bairstow scored 66 runs for the sixth wicket.

For India, the dismissal couldn't have come at a better moment as an aggressive field appeared to be ineffective as seven boundaries were hit between overs 33 and 36.

This led to New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham posting a hilarious tweet on the matter. He asked the question why the opposition keeps riling up Biarsow and paying the price. He advised the opposition to do good things for the batter to keep him happy.
