Former India captain Virat Kohli had quite an interesting interaction with England batter Jonny Bairstow on day two of the ongoing fifth Test match at Edgbaston, which continued on day three as well.

Their animated conversations on the field proved to be quite an drama as when Bairstow was trying to get his eye in at the start of the innings, Kohli was seen repeatedly sledging him. Soon after, Bairstow teed off, slamming his century off just 119 deliveries.

He hammered 14 fours and 2 sixes in his 106-run knock and added 92 runs in 105 balls with Sam Billings to help England post a good reply as they made 284 runs in their first innings, conceding a 132-run lead.

While Bairstow replied to Kohli’s sledging with both the tongue and the willow, Kohli, however, had the last laugh, as he took the catch off Mohammad Shami's bowling to dismiss Bairstow for 104.

As the England star walked back to the pavilion, Kohli was seen blowing a kiss in a sendoff.

Bairstow hit his third century in as many matches and rescued England from 84/5. For India, Mohammed Siraj took four wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah claimed three. Mohammad Shami also struck twice, while Shardul Thakur claimed one.
