The ongoing fifth Test between England and India has so far been dominated by the visitors. The Jasprit Bumrah-led side has put on a clinical effort with the bat and followed it with a sensational display of fast bowling.

Coming into the match, England had a lot of backing from many fans and pundits, who said that their 'Bazball’ concept will hammer India. They came into the game on the back of a 3-0 Test series win against New Zealand.

However, they struggled with both bat and ball on the first two days of the ongoing Edgbaston Test. They started off well after they reduced the visitors to 98/5. But after that nothing went in their way as Rishabh Pant (146) and Ravindra Jadeja (104) took them to the cleaners and helped their side post a mammoth first innings total of 416 runs.

After they posted a first-innings total of 416 runs on the board, skipper Bumrah led the charge for his side and removed three quick wickets. Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj too chipped in as they reduced the hosts to 84/5 at stumps on Day 2.

However, until and unless Jonny Bairstow is there at the crease, it’s fair to say that England is still in the game. The right-hander looked a class apart against New Zealand as he smashed 377 runs in four innings, which included two centuries and an unbeaten 71.

England would be hoping that Bairstow plays in the same aggressive manner as he did against New Zealand. The batter tried but his struggle was quite evident as Indian pacers Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah didn’t allow him to free his arms.

As Bairstow was struggling in middle the former skipper Virat Kohli sledged him using Tim Southee's name. The incident happened at the end of the 14th over. The stump mic picked up Kohli's words at the change of ends. He said, "Little bit faster than Southee, eh?"

While many thought that the banter would end there itself, Kohli and Bairstow were seen engaging in a more serious chit-chat with Kohli doing a lot of finger-pointing towards the England batter.

The incident happened before the second ball of the 32nd over after Mohammad Shami had beaten Bairstow with an in-dipper on the first one. Kohli can be seen mouthing some warning words to Bairstow who tried to explain something and in the end, Kohli was seen gesturing to him to keep quiet with the finger on his lips.
