Jasprit Bumrah’s assault on Stuart Broad hogged the headlines on Day 2 of the ongoing rescheduled Test between India and England at Edgbaston.

Batting at No. 10, the stand-in India captain slammed 31 not out off 16 balls to take the visitors to a substantial first-innings total of 416.

Bumrah’s unbeaten cameo was laced with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Interestingly, all of his boundaries came in an over of veteran England pacer Broad, which went for a total of 35 runs – the new record for most expensive over in Test cricket.

While Bumrah smashed the first ball for a four, the second delivery went for five wides followed by a six off a no-ball and then three consecutive fours. In the fifth delivery, the Indian captain once again hit a six before taking a single on the last ball.

Reacting to Bumrah's blitz, former India opener Virender Sehwag shared a hilarious meme on his official Twitter account, drawing reference to Yuvraj Singh's 6 sixes in an over against Broad during the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa.

The meme featuring Bollywood actor Javed Jaffery says, “I don't know how I automatically get stuck in such dangerous situations.”

Team India’s first innings eventually folded for 416 in 84.5 overs. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja starred with the bat for the tourists, slamming 146 and 104 respectively.

In reply, the hosts were tottering on 84/5 at the close of play on Day 2 with Jonny Bairstow (12*) and Ben Stokes (0*) unbeaten in the middle, trailing India by 332 runs.
