India’s young wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, was the star of the show on the opening day of the ongoing rescheduled fifth and final Test against England, starting on Friday (July 1) in Birmingham.

Apart from Pant, Ravindra Jadeja also played one of his finest knocks in Test cricket and continued from where he left on day two of the rescheduled Test match before India’s stand-in captain and speedster Jasprit Bumrah stole the show with his power-hitting at the end of the tourists’ innings.

After Jadeja's dismissal for 104, Bumrah’s show began on Saturday, as the pacer went berserk at England’s senior pacer, Stuart Broad, hitting four fours and two sixes to amass 29 runs off his over, which costed the hosts 35 runs in all with six extras.

Bumrah scored 31* off 16 balls to help India cross the 400-mark as the touring side posted 146 runs in their first innings against England in the ongoing rescheduled final Test.

Watching Bumrah's carnage, his teammates and head coach Rahul Dravid were seen in jubilant mode, and even his batting partner Mohammed Siraj came to him and hugged him.

In a viral video, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Dravid were seen clapping for Bumrah after the pacer reminded Broad of the 2007 T20 World Cup thrashing by Yuvraj Singh.

Notably, it was the most expensive over in Test cricket history bowled by Broad, who conceded a total of 35 runs in the over, and that’s how five-wides and a no-ball were hit for a six by Bumrah.
