Team India is currently facing Leicestershire in a four-day warm-up ahead of their rescheduled fifth Test against England in Edgbaston, starting July 1st.
They have displayed a decent performance in the first three days of the game. One of the standout performers for India in the ongoing game has been keeper-batter Rishabh Pant.
The southpaw played for Leicestershire and scored 76 runs. He displayed his attacking game and played at a strike rate of 87.3. Not only did he earn praise for his knock, but he also won the hearts of fans on the ground with his gesture.

Indian team on Sunday (26th June) suffered a major blow as skipper Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19 and his participation in the final Test against England has been put in doubt.
If Rohit is ruled out of the match, it is likely that Pant can be handed leadership responsibility. With KL Rahul not being there and having led India in the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa, the keeper-batter has a fair chance to captain India in Tests as well.
