ENG v IND 2022: WATCH – Bumrah gets rid of Kohli in warm-up match after getting smacked for a six earlier

Kohli played an entertaining knock of 67 before being dismissed by Bumrah.

The former India skipper played an entertaining knock of 67. His innings was studded was 5 fours and 2 sixes but it was his maximum against Bumrah that caught everyone’s attention.

During the 55th over of India’s innings, Bumrah bowled a short delivery and Kohli produced a breathtaking uppercut, which sailed over the third man boundary for a six.

However, Bumrah had the last laugh as he dismissed Kohli when the veteran batter was looking set for a century.

In the 71st over, Bumrah got the outside edge of Kohli’s bat and Abidine Sakande, who was stationed at backward point, took an easy catch to end the dazzling knock.

Overall, Virat Kohli batted well in this warm-up match. He made 33 as India posted 246/8 in their first innings. When he was dismissed in the second innings, India were at 276/8, leading Leicestershire by 278 runs in the second innings.
