There is a buzz surrounding around India’s upcoming tour of England. During the visit, the Indian team will play the rescheduled fifth Test before taking on the hosts in six white-ball games.
For the much-awaited tour, some members of Team India’s squad departed for England on Thursday (June 16). In a post shared by the Indian cricket team on Instagram, the players part of the Test squad can be seen boarding the flight.
The likes of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, and Prasidh Krishna featured in the post.
Wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat shared a separate post before taking the flight while Shami and Pujara also uploaded pictures.
The rescheduled fifth Test will be played at Edgbaston from July 1 while the limited-overs series, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs, is slated to be held from July 7 to July 17.
Notably, the Indian team is leading the five-Test series 2-1. The fifth and final Test had to be cancelled last year because of the COVID-19 cases in the visiting camp.
