Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been at his best in this ongoing Test series against England. While Bumrah is the second-highest wicket-taker on this series with 18 wickets to his name, the right-arm quick delivered a couple of toe-crushing yorkers in the second innings of the fourth Test.
The India pacer contributed vital 24 runs with the bat as well but his spell on the final day as he removed in-form batsman Ollie Pope (2) and Jonny Bairstow (0) in quick succession turned the match in the visitors’ favor as they won a Test match at The Oval after 50 years.
Kevin Pietersen in his recent blog for Betway lauded the 27-year-old India pacer for his game-changing spell which the Englishman termed to be ‘fierce' to say the least and compared Bumrah with South Africa pace bowling legend Dale Steyn.

“He can build long spells, but also bowl with intensity, accuracy, pace, and discipline. In that sense, he reminds me of Dale Steyn, who announced his retirement last week. Steyn, for me, is the greatest fast bowler of all time, largely because he did it in all conditions,” Pietersen wrote.
“Bumrah might never hit the heights of Steyn, but his ability to tear through an opposition in any part of the world sets him apart,” the right-hand batsman further wrote.
The right-arm quick’s two wickets brought visitors back into the game as they registered an epic comeback win after an innings and 76-run loss in the third Test at Headingley in Leeds.
Thus, with India taking an unbeatable 2-1 lead, it will be exciting to see how both teams perform in the final Test match of the series to be played at the Old Trafford in Manchester from September 10.
