Shami turned 31 on September 3rd, 2021 | TwitterIndia pacer Mohammad Shami celebrated his 31st birthday on September 3, 2021. Unfortunately, he is not a part of the India XI for the ongoing fourth Test match between England and India at the Oval in London.

England carried on their first innings on day two with Ollie Pope scoring 81 and vital contributions from Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, and Dawid Malan. Chris Woakes kept the runs flowing as Indian bowlers failed to get the tail out early.

Meanwhile, during the day’s play after tea, some fans brought some a cake in order to celebrate Mohammad Shami’s birthday and the pacer, who was on the sidelines with the drinks, caught sight of the fans with the cake and walked over after repeated requests.

Shami obliged the crowd and ended up cutting the cake with them much to the delight of the fans.

Shami played the first three Tests of the series and picked up 11 wickets. He picked up 3/28 in the drawn Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham and 4/95 in the loss at Headingley. He also scored a vital half-century at Lord’s helping India put up important runs on the board.
