Former England batsman Nick Compton on Wednesday (August 18) called India's skipper Virat Kohli 'the most foul-mouthed individual' in his tweet. Recalling an incident from 2012, he accused Kohli of abusing him.

Compton wrote that Kohli amazed him with his barrage of abuses. “Isn’t Kohli the most foul mouthed individual. I’ll Never forget the barrage of abuse I received in 2012 when the swearing stunned me to the point that he did himself a serious disservice,” he tweeted.

“It highlights what a level headed and grounded man Root, Tendulkar, Williamson et al are," he further added.

The 38-year-old's tweet came after Virat Kohli's aggressiveness on the field during the second Test at Lord's. Team India was pumped after dominating the Test match and winning it by 151 runs. There were a few verbal spats between the two teams as well, which has added fuel to the fire in this five-match series.

The Twitterati reacted to Compton's tweet and reminded him of the past actions of England cricketers, like James Anderson shredding picture of R Ashwin, and Jos Buttler insulting Vernon Philander in his farewell match.

Compton later deleted the tweet after getting befitting replies from the fans.
