India pacer Mohammed Siraj played a key role in the second Test match against England at Lord’s as the right-arm quick picked 4 wickets in both innings and helped India register a historic win over hosts at the 'Home of Cricket'.
The former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt, in his latest YouTube video lauded Siraj for his exceptional bowling at Lord’s as he believed the fast bowler has the ability to strike at any point in the innings be it at the start or at the end.
“Mohammed Siraj came in and gave it his all. He has a different expression on his face. As an opposition batsman when you look at him, you have to be very good, or rather outstanding, to find it easy against him,” Butt said in a YouTube video on his channel.
“It always seems like he will make an impact, whether it is at the start of the innings or towards the end. According to me, in Test cricket, this aggression helps a lot and works,” he added.
The left-handed batsman then also addressed the aggression the 27-year-old has be it with his expressions or celebration of his wickets.
“Siraj has a different attitude and a different output. He adds a different flavour to this Indian attack. No other Indian bowler has such aggression in his body language. Bumrah’s body language and attitude are more like a batsman. He is very calm and cool. Very rarely does he get aggressive,” the Lahore-based cricketer concluded.
After a fantastic performance at The Gabba in the recently concluded Test series in Australia, Siraj made a great Lord’s debut as he bagged 8 wickets in the match which helped the tourists run through England batting unit on the final day of the second Test match.
