The Indian cricket team is currently in England for the five-match Test series and is currently residing in London as the second Test match is being played at the home of cricket, Lord’s ground.
On August 15, 2021, as India celebrated a milestone 75th Independence Day, Virat Kohli, coach Ravi Shastri, and the Indian team hoisted the tricolor in front of their hotel in London and then paid respects by singing the national anthem.
In a video shared by the BCCI, captain Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri, the head coach unfurled the Indian tricolor and then the entire team along with some family members were seen standing in attention during the national anthem.

Also seen in the video were Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav who joined the squad after completing their mandatory quarantine.
“On the occasion of India's Independence Day, #TeamIndia members came together to hoist the flag,” BCCI captioned the video.
Meanwhile, India began day 4 of the first Test cautiously trailing 27 runs behind at the start of the day’s play. England piled 391 in their first innings thanks to Joe Root’s 180* in reply to India’s 364 which had KL Rahul scoring a century.
