WATCH - Kohli wastes review in spite of Pant trying to stop him; Jaffer tweets 'DRS: Don't Review Siraj'

India lost two of their reviews with Mohammed Siraj being the bowler both times.

Team India reacts as they lose a review | GettyThe story of India wasting reviews of late continued as Virat Kohli wasted two reviews in a matter of two overs after being convinced by bowler Mohammed Siraj and both times the batsman was England captain Joe Root in the ongoing second Test at Lord’s.

The first incident happened in the 21st over of the innings, he struck Root on the pads, and Siraj and others in slips had a huge appeal going, but the ball was going down the leg side. However, Siraj convinced Kohli for a review, which showed that the ball had pitched outside off stump and was missing the leg stump easily and India lost their first review.

The same scenario repeated again in the 23rd over, but this time it felt a lot closer. However, Siraj didn’t do much gesturing towards Kohli. While Rishabh Pant, Siraj, and others were discussing, as the timer was about to run out, Virat Kohli went for the DRS review while laughing, despite Pant trying to hold his hands and stopping him from making the ‘T’ sign.

The result was as before and the ball was missing the leg stump and India lost their second review.

Here is the video of the whole incident with Pant trying to stop Kohli:

Seeing this adversity taking place, former India batsman Wasim Jaffer came up with a hilarious full form for DRS.
