Former India captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly visited the mecca of cricket Lord’s, where he had made his Test debut as well in 1996, to watch England play India in the second Test of the ongoing five-match series on August 12.
Along with Ganguly, BCCI secretary Jay Shah was also spotted in stands, also present were vice-president Rajiv Shukla, England, and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) CEO Tom Harrison. Ganguly’s wife Dona was also there.
However, the Twitterverse went into nostalgia mode as the camera caught former England opener and cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott joining Ganguly in the stands and the two had a lengthy conversation. Interestingly, it was Boycott who once gave the nickname 'Prince of Calcutta' to Ganguly.
