Karthik took to Twitter and uploaded a picture from the venue, which suggests that the fourth day’s play will be marred by the rain.

“Looks like rain will again play the role of spoiler today,” Karthik wrote in the caption of the picture with some clouds hovering in the background.

Coming to the Test match, India rode on KL Rahul’s 84 and Ravindra Jadeja’s 56 to post 278/10 in the first innings in reply to England’s 183 all-out.

The home team ended the third day, which was called off early due to rain at 25/0, still trailing the visitors by 70 runs. Rory Burns (11*) and Dominic Sibley (9*) are unbeaten in the middle.
