The much awaited five-match Test series between England and India is just three days away now and the preparations are on the way at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

BCCI shared the first look of the pitch for the first Test on their Twitter account, and asked fans for their thoughts. The pitch as is to be expected with three days left, carries an even covering of grass, which will probably be trimmed or shaved off closer to the match.

BCCI wrote, "A look at the wicket three days out from the 1st Test at Trent Bridge. Thoughts #ENGvIND"

England will miss Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer in the high profile series with the former on an indefinite break from cricket to prioritise his mental health, while the latter is still recovering from his elbow surgery.

India will be without opener Shubman Gill, with Mayank Agarwal or KL Rahul likely to partner Rohit Sharma at the top of the order in the first Test. Abhimanyu Easwaran is also an option though it's unlikely he would get to play.

The five-match series will be crucial for both teams as England would look to get back to winning ways after the home series defeat to New Zealand, while India would also look for a positive result after losing the World Test Championship final to New Zealand.
