India all-rounder Washington Sundar, had recently been ruled out of the upcoming England Test series owing to a blow to his finger during the warm-up match against County Select XI. Due to some more injuries, Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav will be leaving for UK as replacements.
Just like Sundar, pacer Avesh Khan was also ruled out of the upcoming Test series in UK as the right-arm quick also fractured his left thumb during the warm-up match when he played for County Select XI in Durham.
Before Sundar and Avesh Khan, the Indian camp had yet another injury with opener Shubman Gill also getting ruled out of the upcoming Test series due to a sustained developing stress reaction on his shin during the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
As the Tamil Nadu based all-rounder flew back home on Friday (July 30), he took to Twitter and talked about how difficult going back was for him.

The 21-year-old also thanked his fans for all their wishes of his speedy recovery in his emotional post.

As far as Indian team is concerned, they will be taking on hosts England in a five match Test series with first match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham (4 August), followed by Lord’s in London (12 August), Headingley in Leeds (25 August), Kennington Oval in London (2 September) and Old Trafford in Manchester (10 September).
