Mayank Agarwal opened up on the Indian cricket team's preparation ahead of the five-match Test series against England. They have regrouped at Durham for the practice match against County Select XI, starting on July 20.
The India batsman said they just want to ease into things as the team begins training. Agarwal also spoke about the feel of practicing in the open nets which gives a real feel of the conditions.

"It was good to regroup and come to the Durham cricket ground. It was not a heavy session but it was a session where we all got together, grouped, and played together. We just want to ease into things," he said in a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Agarwal also tried his hands on bowling and said it's a good skill to add. "Obviously getting a chance to hit at the ground and the open net is fantastic. It feels good to play in the actual ground so you get the real feel of wickets, conditions, and everything else. It's more of a top off but the main session is at the ground and which is available to us which is great.
"I also bowled a little and rolled my arm over and it felt nice. It's always good to add your skills," the 30-year-old further said.
India's Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara made a cameo in the video posted by BCCI. He was asked to name the better bowler between him and Mayank. "I will have to give to him [Mayank Agarwal]," he replied.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have named a 14-player squad to represent County Select XI for the three-day warm-up game. The team will be coached by Richard Dawson and captained by Warwickshire skipper, Will Rhodes.
The county players will undergo the COVID-19 test before being cleared to play in the match. Team India will use Emirates Riverside as a home venue for their preparations.
