ENG v IND 2021: Michael Vaughan expects the trend of England hammering India at home to continue

India has lost its last 3 Test series in England quite badly.

India had lost 1-4 in Test series in 2018 against England | GettyFormer England captain Michael Vaughan has once again hit a raw nerve as he said that he expects the home side to hammer the visiting Indian team like they have done the past three series. India and England will clash in a five-Test series after India and New Zealand play the WTC final.

The last time India won a Test series in England was in 2007 under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid. India has lost quite badly on their previous three tours- losing 0-4 in 2011, 1-3 in 2014, both under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, and 1-4 in 2018 under Virat Kohli’s leadership.

"England will win. It's in England... I mean you all have to look at the trends over the last few years. Every time England have gone to India, they've been hammered. And every time India have come to England, they've been hammered. That's the fact. And I think that will carry on. England are a team at home that are very, very difficult to beat with the Duke ball," Vaughan told CricTracker.

India will engage in a five-match Test series against England with the matches to be played- 1st Test in Nottingham from August 4, 2nd Test at Lord’s from August 13, 3rd Test at Leeds from August 25, 4th Test at Kennington Oval from September 2 and the 5th Test at Manchester from September 10.
