The Women's World Cup 2025 official anthem, which was released by the ICC, is already making headlines. Less than two weeks before the highly anticipated event begins in India, the song, titled "Bring it Home," was released on Friday, September 19.
The captivating voice of one of India's most recognizable and adored singers, Shreya Ghoshal, brings the song to life. In the video, Shreya enters the studio, stands in front of the microphone, and gives the electrifying song her all.
The ICC shared the clip on their social media, inviting fans to join in the excitement with the caption: “Sing it with us. Tarikita Tarikita dhoom dhak dhak!”
Shreya Ghoshal will also perform at the grand opening ceremony of the ICC Women’s World Cup, which will be held at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on September 30.
India will host the ICC Women’s World Cup for the first time after 12 years. However, Pakistan will play its games in Sri Lanka, as per the agreement between the BCCI and PCB. The tournament will be hosted across multiple venues, including Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo, with the final scheduled for November 2.
India will take on Sri Lanka in the opening game of the tournament in Guwahati. While India has been a force in women’s cricket across formats, an ICC trophy is yet to be added to their cabinet.
The team has reached the World Cup final twice but came up short on both occasions. In 2005, they lost to Australia by 98 runs, followed by a narrow nine-run defeat to England in 2017.
