CWC 2023: IAF’s Suryakiran team to put on air show ahead of final; singers to perform during innings break

India and Australia will square off in the World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad on November 19.

BCCI wants to leave no stone unturned to entertain the fans in World Cup final | ANIThe ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final is all set to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19). Hosts India will take on five-time champions Australia in the summit clash.

With one day to go for the marquee fixture, the BCCI revealed that they will make the World Cup final experience a memorable one for the fans present at the venue.   

Taking to social media platform X, the Indian cricket board unveiled the flow chart of events during breaks in the final.

From 1:35 to 1: 50 PM IST, the fighter jets of Indian Air Force's Suryakiran team will be on show in the world's largest cricket stadium.

Playback singer Aditya Gadhvi will entertain the fans during the drinks break in the first innings while music composer Pritam Chakraborty and renowned singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh and Tushar Joshi will perform during the innings break.

The drinks break in the second innings will be lit up by a laser and light show in the stadium, with a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators.

India have been the most dominant side in this World Cup, winning all their nine games in the league stage to qualify for the semi-final, where they defeated New Zealand by 70 runs.

On the other hand, Australia started their campaign with two successive defeats before registering eight wins on the trot to make it to the grand finale. In the semi-final, the Aussies edged past South Africa by three wickets in a low-scoring affair at the Eden Gardens.
