Names of the match-officials who will officiate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia on November 19 in Ahmedabad have been revealed.
The two sides will clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in front of more than 1.3 lakh people and multiple celebrities and dignitaries in attendance. India holds a slight upper hand over Australia, having defeated them in the league stage in Chennai.
India will come into the final undefeated in the league matches, while Australia lost to India and South Africa. The Men in Blue then defeated New Zealand in the semi-final in Mumbai in a comprehensive win. Australia, meanwhile, had a tough time disposing off South Africa in the other knockout match in Kolkata.
Ahead of this critical summit clash, the ICC confirmed the names of the officials will be officiating in the crunch match.
The on-field umpires will be Richard Kettleborough and Richard Illingworth, both from England. Joel Wilson from West Indies will be the TV umpire and Chris Gaffaney will be the fourth umpire. Andy Pycroft has been named the match referee for the CWC 2023 final.
