Former England captain and commentator Nasser Hussain heaped praise on India's formidable bowling attack, describing it as the finest he has ever seen. His comments came ahead of India’s semi-final clash with New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on November 15.
The Indian bowling unit comprising of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja, is the key reason behind Team India’s unbeaten run in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023.
Now, India would like to extend its winning steak against the Black Caps.
Notably, India won all nine league matches in the World Cup 2023, and their bowlers shone brightly, managing to bowl out their opponents on seven occasions, which shows the sheer excellence and effectiveness of India's bowling attack.

Nasser Hussain said on Star Sports: “This present bowling unit is the best Indian bowling unit I have ever seen. There have been great (Indian) bowlers over time but as a unit (this is the best).”
He added, “If Bumrah does not get you, Siraj will. If Siraj does not get you, Shami will. If they don't get you, the two spinners will come in and they will get you out.”
Meanwhile, Hussain drew comparisons between India's current bowling attack and the legendary Fab Five of batting, featuring Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, and VVS Laxman.
The former England skipper said India now has a new Fab Five, but this time with the ball. Hussain signed off by saying, “There used to be Fab 5 with the bat, this is the Fab 5 with the ball now.”
Notably, Bumrah has managed 17 wickets in 9 games at the ongoing CWC 2023, Shami and Jadeja have 16 scalps to their names while Kuldeep and Siraj have 14 and 12 wickets respectively.
