Unbeaten India will take on the Netherlands in their last league match of the ongoing World Cup 2023 on Sunday (November 12) in Bengaluru. India have won all 8 of their matches so far and will look to make it 9 against Netherlands, who are bottom of the table despite couple of stunning wins.
The match will offer India the chance to get ready and test themselves ahead of their semi-final clash against New Zealand in Mumbai on Wednesday. While India have largely demolished opponents for much of the tournament, they would still look to keep improving even if there's not a lot at stake for them in Sunday's encounter.
Sunday also happens to be Diwali, the festival of lights, and Team India will be in action, so the fans will be hoping for another reason to celebrate. The team took the opportunity for a get-together to celebrate the festival on Saturday as they enjoyed in each other's company at the team hotel.
The players and support staff sported traditional outfits and seemed to be in great spirits. Some of the players were also joined by their families.
